In response to extreme summer heat, Hudson deployed two 5-ton rooftop rental AC units to deliver immediate relief, supplying cool, fresh air to hallways and common spaces that had been experiencing uncomfortably hot conditions.

This rapid response ensured that more than 500 residents could enjoy a comfortable and safe environment while long-term building solutions were being finalized.

Hudson coordinated with the City of Toronto to temporarily close the surrounding street, rented a high-capacity crane, and worked with on-site police officers and traffic control teams to ensure the operation ran smoothly.

This project formed part of a broader makeup air unit (MAU) replacement initiative at the property. While the permanent MAU was undergoing upgrades, Hudson’s temporary AC support provided essential cooling and ventilation to keep residents comfortable.
Once the rental period was complete, Hudson safely disconnected and removed the rooftop units using the same crane and traffic management measures, returning the property to its standard operation without disruption.
